Category / Procurement Manager Mechanics (a)

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for the timely procurement of mechanical assemblies and components and raw materials for high-precision machines. This entails conducting price negotiations and finalizing framework agreements based on Total Cost of Ownership TCO criteria. Your role extends to planning and coordinating assemblies in collaboration with project managers, representing the procurement perspective in projects. You will actively implement cost-reduction measures along the value chain, such as evaluating the feasibility of Make-or-Buy decisions. The position involves comprehensive supplier management, encompassing the ongoing development of collaborative relationships with suppliers. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in the selection of suppliers for the procurement of new electronic and electrical assemblies and components. Your proactive approach to holistic procurement processes contributes to the efficiency and success of our projects and innovations.

Requirements for this role include a higher technical or university degree in in an engineering discipline, e.g. In electrical engineering, and/or business administration with focus on procurement & supply chain, or an equivalent qualification like an additional training in procurement & supply chain. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in procuring assemblies within an industrial setting. An affinity for technical products and an understanding of their procurement requirements is essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate is a communicative and team-oriented individual, capable of effective collaboration within a dynamic work environment. Proficiency in both spoken and written German is a requirement, with a good command of English being an additional asset. The successful candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and a proactive team spirit to contribute to the procurement success of our projects.
