In this line management position you will be responsible for a team of Firmware / Software developers and test engineers. Tasks are competence development, integration of internal and external product design into a cohesive user experience and gaining a complete understanding of clients' needs. As technical leader you will coach your team members in implementation, unit testing and documentation of embedded software, the conceptualisation and technical specification of new products or new functions, maintenance and extensions of firmware of existing products and last but not least the production release of Firmware and Software error correction within an agile development environment. You administer trainings throughout various phases of the software development cycle and create and maintain a technical documentation content. You foster staff and employees’ career plan and call for continuous improving and standardization programs, innovation sessions and all needs for keeping your team at state-of-the-art within the company’s engineering community in Switzerland, India, Germany and the US. In this position you will cooperate with the Project Management and the Head R&D for the definition of product maintenance projects, roadmaps and budgets.
